Painting we did in art for the shading unit. Don't remember what kind of paint we used....something along the lines of tempra or something. In the unit we learned how to tint/shade/compliment a color to change it's value. Then our art teacher took a picture of us and edited it in Photoshop to make different blobs of value, as seen in the art. Then we had to trace it and paint it.
That's pretty much what my face looks like >.> *hides*
PhotoShop, huh? We did something like that, but not anything related to PS, we just had to paint a mountain scape in various colors of blue to show how close or far away they are. It's a bit messy, but man, I wouldn't want to draw myself exactly. XD But I know what kinda paint you're talking about. I'm not fond of it, at all.
Painting wasn't that bad. We HAD to mix the base color, so I added only a little magenta to the straight blue to com out with the base color (the color of the hair). Then I added a little of the base color to white to make a tint, and to make the color of my skin, and continued adding base color to white to get it darker and darker.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
